Cardamom
Cardamom is used in both sweet and savoury dishes. It’s native to the Indian subcontinent and Indonesia, and widely popular in Indian, Scandinavian and Middle Eastern cuisines. It has a sweet flavour and scent. Cardamom is from the ginger family, made from spindle-shaped seed pods. The pods contain black seeds that can be used as whole or ground. Cardamom is the world’s third-most expensive spice after vanilla and saffron.
